Facebook Best Practices: When to post

Post 5-10 times a week. You don’t want to overwhelm your followers, but you don’t want them to forget you’re there.
Post at times when most people are online. You can use your Facebook analytics (called Insights on your page) to find out when most of your followers are online. Make sure you always post on those days. For example, if they’re online more Tuesday through Saturday, always post on those days.
You shouldn’t skip a day, but if you do, it’s should be a day when the fewest of your followers are online. If it’s Sunday, skip Sunday.
Look at your analytics and make a list like the following to be a guide for your posting times. Make sure you update this list everyone once in a while, because people change and habits change.

Sunday

Fewest followers are on Facebook. If we skip a day, it should be Sunday. Optimal posting times are between 3-8 p.m., 7 p.m. being the peak.

Monday

Second most followers online. Always post on Monday. Optimal time to post is between 6-7 p.m., 7 p.m. being the peak.

Tuesday

Best posting time is between 6-8 p.m., 8 p.m. being the peak.

Wednesday

The most followers are online on Wednesday. Post more than once. Best posting times are 10 a.m., and 6-9 p.m., 7-8 p.m. being the peak.

Thursday

Best posting time is between 7-9 p.m., peaking at 8 p.m.

Friday

Second fewest followers online; second option for skipping a day (not recommended!). Best posting times are 7-9 p.m., the peak being at 9 p.m.

Saturday

Best posting times are 5 p.m. and 8-9 p.m., the peaks being at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. This is a good time to post content to engage and connect.
